What is the difference between the Classic and Gold Shared Cruises in the Santosails FAQ

  • CLASSIC Shared Cruises: Operated on smaller catamarans, following a specific itinerary with set embarkation and disembarkation points. They offer excellent value and a relaxed social atmosphere.
  • GOLD Shared Cruises: Operated on larger, more spacious catamarans, following a different itinerary, which may include different embarkation and/or disembarkation points. They offer increased space and comfort onboard.

Both cruises include hotel transfers, food, drinks, and a professional crew.

What is the difference between a Private and a Shared Cruise?

  • Shared Cruise: You join other guests onboard, follow a fixed itinerary, and pay per person. Ideal for couples, friends, and solo travelers who enjoy a social atmosphere.
  • Private Cruise: The catamaran is exclusively yours, fully customizable, and priced per vessel. Ideal for families, celebrations, proposals, and special occasions.

Both options use the same catamarans, crew, and service level — the difference is privacy, flexibility, and exclusivity.

How long does the cruise last?
Both Day and Sunset cruises last approximately 5 hours. Cruise duration may vary slightly during the season, especially for sunset cruises.

Is hotel pickup included?
Yes. To ensure smooth pickup arrangements, please provide your hotel or villa name along with contact details (yours or your host’s) one day prior to the cruise.

What if my hotel is not easily accessible?
Pickup will be arranged from the nearest convenient meeting point.

Do vessels dock on beaches?
Vessels in Greece cannot moor directly on beaches. Santosails carefully selects the best nearby spots for swimming and snorkeling.

Hot Springs – what should I know?
Vessels typically anchor about 50 meters from the warm sulfuric waters of the Hot Springs bay. The water temperature is approximately 4°C warmer than the open sea. We recommend swimming close to the volcano, avoiding contact with other boats, and wearing dark-colored swimwear.

Is food included? Are there dietary options?
Yes. All cruises include a meal. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available upon request.

Are children allowed?
Yes. Children are welcome. Life jackets for children are available onboard.

What should I bring with me?

What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first.

  • If weather conditions or port authority restrictions do not allow the cruise to operate safely, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
